HYgge Church home project:

Stor sjö

Hygge Church has a lot of work to do, spreading kindness and love to all humanity, for all time. Hygge Church needs a home. Nothing mega, just enough.

Part of Hygge Church’s funding comes from Stor Sjö - a Nordic meditative experience on the North Shore which combines Reiki with metta meditation and eye gazing meditation.

Book a session or donate. All is greatly appreciated.

HYgge Church Community Project:

The Lodge

The first joint Hygge Church / Stor Sjö community project is The Lodge: an all ages youth center with indoor and outdoor recreation, academic tutoring, and mental health resources. The Lodge will be a safe, fun, and engaging place for the youth of Grand Marais to go to after school and during summer.

Hygge Church is a church of Dudeism...

...but what is Dudeism?

The term "Dudeism" refers to a philosophical and religious movement inspired by the character of "The Dude" from the 1998 film "The Big Lebowski." The Dude, portrayed by Jeff Bridges, embodies a laid-back, easygoing, and non-conformist lifestyle.

Dudeism emphasizes the importance of personal freedom, individuality, and a relaxed approach to life. It encourages individuals to embrace their own unique identities and to live life on their own terms, without the constraints of societal expectations or conventional norms.

Dudeism draws upon various philosophical and religious traditions, including Taoism, Zen Buddhism, and even elements of Christianity. It promotes a sense of peace, acceptance, and non-judgment, encouraging individuals to find contentment and fulfillment in the present moment.

While Dudeism is often perceived as a humorous or lighthearted movement, it also carries a deeper philosophical message about the search for meaning and purpose in life. It encourages individuals to question societal norms and to seek their own path towards personal growth and self-realization.

In essence, Dudeism is a way of life that emphasizes personal freedom, acceptance, and a relaxed approach to life, drawing inspiration from various philosophical and religious traditions.
